Bestax 125mg Injection is a broad-spectrum parenteral cephalosporin antibiotic, which covers a wide range of bacterial infections. Bestax 125mg Injection exerts its bactericidal action through inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis.
The pharmacokinetics of cefotaxime after intramuscular injection and intravenous infusion were determined. The mean peak serum level after the 500-mg intramuscular dose was 11.7 micrograms/ml, and it was 20.5 micrograms/ml after a 1,000-mg dose. The serum half-life was 1.2 and 1.3 h, respectively for the two doses.

Bestax 125mg Injection generally prescribed for the lower respiratory tract, genito-urinary tract, central nervous system, intra-abdominal infections, bone and joint infections, skin infections, gynecologic infections, and septicemia. It is stable against the action of most β-lactamases.
Antibiotics like streptomycin and water pills like furosemide when taken along with this injection can affect your kidney function, close monitoring of kidney function is recommended. Patients on anti-gout medicine like probenecid with existing kidney function problem should be cautious.
