Bestocin 250mg Injection is administered as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional and should not be self-administered. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
Bestocin 250mg Injection is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
Pharmacokinetics. Erythromycin is easily inactivated by gastric acid; therefore, all orally administered formulations are given as either enteric-coated or more-stable salts or esters, such as erythromycin ethylsuccinate. Erythromycin is very rapidly absorbed, and diffuses into most tissues and phagocytes.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Erythromycin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to this antibiotic. Erythromycin is contraindicated in patients taking terfenadine, astemizole, pimozide, or cisapride.
Bestocin 250mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Bestocin 250mg Injection.
Bestocin 250mg Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
There may be a possibility of diarrhea or rash in the baby.

Bestocin 250mg Injection is an antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs and skin. It stops the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and clears the infection
Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications: astemizole. certain medicines for cholesterol like atorvastatin, cerivastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin. certain medicines for fungal infections like fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole.

Stop taking Bestocin 250mg Injection and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
