Bestocin 250mg Injection is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Pharmacokinetics. Erythromycin is easily inactivated by gastric acid; therefore, all orally administered formulations are given as either enteric-coated or more-stable salts or esters, such as erythromycin ethylsuccinate. Erythromycin is very rapidly absorbed, and diffuses into most tissues and phagocytes.

Interactions

Do not take this medicine with any of the following medications: astemizole. certain medicines for cholesterol like atorvastatin, cerivastatin, lovastatin, simvastatin. certain medicines for fungal infections like fluconazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole.
