Betavert OD 48 Tablet CR should be swallowed whole with water and taken at the same time(s) each day to get the most benefit. Your doctor will decide what is the correct dose to relieve your symptoms and how often you need to take it. You may need to take this medicine for several months and you should take it for as long as prescribed by your doctor, even if you start feeling better.
Betavert OD 48 Tablet works by increasing the blood flow around the inner ear, which reduces the fluid pressure in the ear. This helps to relieve the symptoms of Meniere's disease, such as vertigo (a feeling of dizziness or spinning sensation), ringing in the ears, nausea, and hearing loss.
Pharmacokinetics. Betahistine comes in both a tablet form as well as an oral solution, and is taken orally. It is rapidly and completely absorbed. The mean plasma elimination half-life is 3 to 4 hours, and excretion is virtually complete in the urine within 24 hours.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Betavert OD 48 Tablet 10's may interact with other medicines that include MAO inhibitors (Isocarboxazid) other antihistamines (cetirizine, chlorpheniramine), and beta-2 agonists (salmeterol, formoterol). Drug-Food Interactions: No such interaction reported.
