Mechanism Of Action

Betzee - GM Cream is a combination of medicines used to treat skin infections caused by microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. It works by killing and stopping the growth of infection causing microorganisms, thereby clearing the infection and relieving the symptoms.

Pharmacokinets

Betamethasone phosphate disappeared rapidly from plasma (mean half-life = 4.7 min) as betamethasone levels rose. Betamethasone plasma levels reached a peak 10-36 min after administration of the phosphate before declining in a biexponential manner. The terminal slow disposition phase had a mean half-life of 6.5 h.The dosage of gentamicin necessary to produce mean peak serum concentrations between 4 mug/ml and 6 mug/ml was 60 mg/m2 per dose for all age groups or 2.5 mg/kg per dose for ages one-half to five years, 2.0 mg/kg per dose for ages five to 10 years, and 1.5 mg/kg per dose for ages greater than 10 years.After application to the skin, miconazole can be measured in the skin for up to four days, but less than 1% is absorbed into the bloodstream. When applied to the oral mucosa (and possibly also for vaginal use), it is significantly absorbed.

Do not wrap or cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless advised by a doctor. Do not swallow BETAMETHASONE+GENTAMICIN+MICONAZOLE. In case of accidental swallowing, consult a doctor immediately. If you have glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, adrenal gland or kidney problems, asthma, myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), Parkinson’s disease or other skin problems, inform your doctor before taking BETAMETHASONE+GENTAMICIN+MICONAZOLE.
