It is best to take Biduret -L Tablet in the morning along with food in order to avoid frequent urination at night time. For better results, it is suggested to take it at the same time every day. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
BIDURET -L a “Potassium-conserving diuretic and antihypertensive agent” is for patients who have high blood pressure (hypertension). It offers synergistic mode of action which prevent potassium loss and reduces blood pressure.
Amiloride is not metabolized by the liver but is excreted unchanged by the kidneys. Amiloride HCl is not metabolized by the liver but is excreted unchanged by the kidneys. About 50 percent of a 20 mg dose of amiloride HCl is excreted in the urine and 40 percent in the stool within 72 hours.Absorption of hydrochlorothiazide is reduced in patients with congestive heart failure. Peak plasma concentrations are observed within 1 to 5 hours of dosing, and range from 70 to 490 ng/mL following oral doses of 12.5 to 100 mg.

Biduret -L Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Biduret -L Tablet.
Biduret -L Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Do not chew, crush or break it. Biduret -L Tablet is to be taken with food.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Biduret -L Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Take it in the morning with breakfast to avoid getting up at night to urinate.
It can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Biduret -L Tablet affects you.
It may increase the level of potassium in your blood. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
Notify your doctor if you experience diarrhea, vomiting, fast or irregular heartbeat, swelling in feet, or difficulty breathing.
Monitor your blood pressure after starting Biduret -L Tablet, and notify your doctor if it does not lower down.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Biduret -L Tablet is to be taken with food.
Q. Can I stop taking Biduret -L Tablet if I feel well?
No, keep using Biduret -L Tablet as advised by your doctor, even if you feel well. Stopping Biduret -L Tablet suddenly may lead to serious complications such as heart attack and stroke.
Q. How would I know if I have high potassium level?
Your doctor will check your blood potassium levels periodically for high potassium levels. Make sure that you do not miss any future appointments with the doctor.

Keep this medicine in the packet or the container it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
Q. Can Biduret -L Tablet cause dry mouth?
Yes, the use of Biduret -L Tablet can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water by your bed at night. You may use lip balm if your lips are also dry. Try to avoid foods that are acidic (like lemons), spicy and salty.
Q. Can I feel dizzy after taking Biduret -L Tablet?
Yes, the use of Biduret -L Tablet can make you feel dizzy. This may occur when you suddenly rise up from lying or sitting position. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
