Bilif 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably in the morning. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. It may be increased gradually. It may take a few weeks before you start to feel better. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important that this medication is not stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as this can worsen your symptoms.
Bilif 10mg Tablet is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by changing the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain that affect thoughts.
Aripiprazole accumulation is predictable from single-dose pharmacokinetics. At steady state, the pharmacokinetics of aripiprazole are dose-proportional. Elimination of aripiprazole is mainly through hepatic metabolism involving two P450 isozymes, CYP2D6 and CYP3A4.

Aripiprazole is indicated for manic and mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder, irritability associated with autism spectrum disorder, treatment of schizophrenia, treatment of Tourette's disorder, and as an adjunctive treatment of major depressive disorder Label.
If you have diabetes, abnormal blood pressure, high cholesterol, fits, involuntary muscle movements especially in the face, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), blood clots, history of stroke or heart attack, liver or kidney problems, inform your doctor before taking ARIPIPRAZOLE.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Bilif 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Bilif 10mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, Bilif 10mg Tablet may cause prolonged and painful erection (priapism) in some patients. It may also cause impulse control disorder wherein the patient may develop urges or cravings that are irresistible and unusual for that person. In this case, the patient may develop an abnormally high sex drive or may experience an increase in sexual thoughts or feelings. Consult your doctor who may modify your dose or may advise to stop Bilif 10mg Tablet.

Bilif 10mg Tablet is not approved in elderly patients with dementia as it may increase the risk of causing death. Dementia is a brain disorder that affects the ability to remember, think clearly, communicate, and perform daily activities. This may further cause changes in mood and personality. Furthermore, patients with depression should be closely monitored when being given Bilif 10mg Tablet, as they can develop suicidal tendencies.
Q. What should I avoid while using Bilif 10mg Tablet?
Bilif 10mg Tablet may commonly cause sleepiness, sedation, dizziness, blurred vision, and double vision. Avoid driving and using heavy machinery if you experience these symptoms. You should also avoid over-exercise, over-exposure to heat or getting dehydrated by avoiding direct sunlight. It is recommended to stay indoors in hot weather, and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Bilif 10mg Tablet may cause an increase in blood sugar levels. Extremely high levels of blood sugar may cause coma and death. Therefore, if you have diabetes, you should stay alert and check your blood sugar levels regularly.

Bilif 10mg Tablet may cause weight gain in some patients. This medicine may also increase the cholesterol and fat levels in the blood. If you gain weight during treatment with Bilif 10mg Tablet, consult your doctor for diet and exercise advice.
