Biocristin 1mg Injection is given as an injection into the vein under the supervision of a doctor. Your doctor will decide what dose is necessary and how often you need to take it. This will depend on what you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as your doctor has advised. Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits but do not stop taking it unless your doctor tells you to.
Biocristin 1mg Injection blocks replication of genetic material (DNA) in the cancer cells. Thus it stops the growth and multiplication of cancer cells.
Vincristine binds to the microtubular proteins of the mitotic spindle, leading to crystallization of the microtubule and mitotic arrest or cell death. Vincristine has some immunosuppressant effect. The vinca alkaloids are considered to be cell cycle phase-specific.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hair loss
Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand)
Constipation
anemia.

low levels of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils.

a painful condition that affects the nerves in the legs and arms called peripheral neuropathy.
Biocristin 1mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Biocristin 1mg Injection. Please consult your doctor.
Biocristin 1mg Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Vincristine is indicated for the treatment of acute leukaemia, malignant lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, acute erythraemia, and acute panmyelosis.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Biocristin Injection may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Biocristin Injection may interact with the following drugs and products:
Allopurinol
Itraconazole
Mitomycin C
Nifedipine
Stavudine
Technetium
Tice-BCG
Zalcitabine

Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor your blood cell count, platelet count and liver function.
Inform your doctor if you experience skin rash, swelling of face or lips and trouble breathing.
