Blonitas 2 Tablet should be taken with food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms.
Blonitas 2 Tablet 10's contains 'Blonanserin' that works by altering the effects of chemical messengers in the brain (i.e. dopamine and serotonin), thereby helps improve mood, behaviour and thoughts. In some cases, Blonitas 2 Tablet 10's may cause common side effects such as weight gain, sleepiness, and restlessness.
Blonanserin is administered 4 mg orally 2 times a day or 8 mg once a day, for an adult male with a body mass index between 19–24 kg/m2 and a body weight equal to or greater than 50 kg. The drug is absorbed by a two compartment (central and peripheral) model with first-order absorption and elimination.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Blonitas 2 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Blonitas 2 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic
Difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language
Elderly patients with dementia-related psychosis
Memory loss
Blonitas 2 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Blonanserin is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and mania. Blonanserin is an atypical antipsychotic. It works by modulating the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain that affect thoughts.

This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Blonitas 2 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:

Do not chew, crush or break it. Blonitas 2 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Blonitas 2 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It is recommended that people taking this medicine should not drink alcohol. This is because Blonitas 2 Tablet is an antipsychotic and taking it with alcohol can cause severe drowsiness.
