BONDRONAT 50 MG TABLET is best taken without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. BONDRONAT 50 MG TABLET is only part of a program of treatment that may also include changes to your diet and taking calcium and vitamin supplements.
BONDRONAT 50 MG TABLET works by increasing the density of the bones which helps prevent osteoporosis. Along with that, it helps to treat high calcium levels in the blood caused due to secondary bone cancer. It is also helpful in treating metastasis of bone which is caused due to breast cancer.
Ibandronic acid leads to progressive net gains in bone mass and a decreased incidence of fractures through the reduction of elevated bone turnover towards premenopausal levels in postmenopausal women. The pharmacodynamic action of ibandronic acid is inhibition of bone resorption.
