Brintellix 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it should be taken regularly at the same time each day. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms. Your treatment may be continued for at least 6 months after your symptoms resolve. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully while taking this medicine. It may take a few weeks before you start to feel better. Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine, even if you feel well. Doing so may make your condition worse.

Brintellix 10mg Tablet is a medicine prescribed to treat depression in adults. It belongs to a group of antidepressants known as serotonin modulator and stimulator (SMS). This medication helps to improve mood and energy levels, and reduce sadness and feelings of worthlessness in people with depression.

Pharmacokinets

The pharmacokinetics of vortioxetine are linear and dose proportional, with a mean terminal half-life of approximately 66 h and steady-state plasma concentrations generally achieved within 2 weeks of dosing. The mean absolute oral bioavailability of vortioxetine is 75%. No food effect on pharmacokinetics was observed.

Vortioxetine is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD). The efficacy of BRINTELLIX was established in six 6 to 8 week studies (including one study in the elderly) and one maintenance study in adults.
