Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and theophylline. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens the airways.
Salbutamol is metabolised almost exclusively by the liver, being converted to salbutamol 4'-O-sulfate. This is then excreted through urination and defecation. After oral inhalation, 80—100% of a dose is excreted via the kidney, whilst 10% may be eliminated in faeces.An average 96% (range 75 to 105%) of an uncoated theophylline tablet is absorbed, with peak concentrations occurring from 0.5 to 2.0h. Enteric coated and many sustained release preparations have poor bioavailability. Intravenous preparations of aminophylline contain from 75 to 85% theophylline by weight.

SALBUTAMOL+THEOPHYLLINE should not be given in the conditions of hypersensitivity (allergic reactions), thyrotoxicosis (excess thyroid hormone), fever, liver impairment, heart failure, high blood pressure (hypertension), irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia), pulmonary oedema, diabetes, history of peptic ulcer and seizures (fits).
Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet.
Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
Avoiding breastfeeding for 2-4 hours after Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet can further decrease the exposure of medicine to the baby.

SALBUTAMOL+THEOPHYLLINE helps in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by relaxing and widening the narrowed or blocked airways (bronchial tubes) of lungs making it easier to breathe in.
Please tell your doctor before taking SALBUTAMOL+THEOPHYLLINE if you have a gastric or peptic ulcer, a serious infection called sepsis, liver disease (especially cirrhosis or hepatitis), fluid in your lungs, heart problems, a thyroid disorder, seizures, kidney disease.

If you miss a dose of Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

You have been prescribed Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet for the treatment of asthma.
It should be taken at the same time each day, preferably in the evening after food.

Bronko Plus 2mg/100mg Tablet contains theophylline. Avoid drinking or eating foods rich in caffeine like coffee, tea, cocoa and chocolate. These food items may increase the side effects caused by theophylline.
