You can take Brosol 2mg/5ml Syrup with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well.
Brosol 2mg/5ml Syrup is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. This makes breathing easier.
Salbutamol is metabolised almost exclusively by the liver, being converted to salbutamol 4'-O-sulfate. This is then excreted through urination and defecation. After oral inhalation, 80—100% of a dose is excreted via the kidney, whilst 10% may be eliminated in faeces.

Salbutamol is indicated for (i) the symptomatic relief and prevention of bronchospasm due to bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, reversible obstructive airway disease, and other chronic bronchopulmonary disorders in which bronchospasm is a complicating factor, and/or (ii) the acute prophylaxis against exercise

Taking a higher than the recommended dose of Brosol 2mg/5ml Syrup may cause seizures, chest pain, nervousness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness and lack of energy. High doses of Brosol 2mg/5ml Syrup may also cause fast, irregular or pounding heartbeat, uncontrollable shaking of any part of the body, and difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. In any such case, seek immediate medical attention.

For headaches, drink plenty of water, get sufficient rest and avoid alcohol. Usually headaches go away after a week. If they persist for a long time, contact your doctor.
