Bruceta Forte Tablet is best taken with food to reduce side effects. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Medicines used to treat pain are usually best taken at the first sign of pain. It is meant for short-term use only. Consult your doctor if the symptoms persist or worsen or if the medicine is required for use beyond 3 days.
Bruceta Forte Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
After oral administration, peak serum concentration is reached after 1–2 hours, and up to 99% of the drug is bound to plasma proteins. The majority of ibuprofen is metabolized and eliminated within 24 hours in the urine; however, 1% of the unchanged drug is removed through biliary excretion.It distributes rapidly and evenly throughout most tissues and fluids and has a volume of distribution of approximately 0.9L/kg. 10 to 20% of the drug is bound to red blood cells. Paracetamol is extensively metabolised (predominantly in the liver), the major metabolites being the sulphate and glucuronide conjugates.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Do not take IBUPROFEN+PARACETAMOL if you are allergic to painkillers like aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or diclofenac. It is not recommended for use in children, people with liver disease, heart disease or gastric ulcers/bleeding problems. IBUPROFEN+PARACETAMOL may be associated with a small increase in the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction). Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may damage your liver and cause increased side effects on taking this drug. Consult your doctor if your symptoms of pain, inflammation, and fever do not disappear even after ten days.
Bruceta Forte Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Bruceta Forte Tablet.
Bruceta Forte Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

It relieves pain in conditions like headache, mild migraine, muscle pain, dental pain, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis or painful menses. Ibuprofen + Paracetamol is a combination of two medicines: Ibuprofen and Paracetamol.
IBUPROFEN+PARACETAMOL is shown to interact with various drugs. Some of them includes lithium, blood thinner or anticoagulant (warfarin, ticlopidine), anti-arthritis pills (methotrexate), blood pressure or heart medicine, nausea/vomiting medicine (metoclopramide, domperidone), diuretic/water pills (thiazides, furosemide), steroid medicine (prednisone), quinolones antibiotics (ciprofloxacin), respiratory medicines (theophylline, ephedrine), cholesterol reducing medicine (colestyramine) and antidepressants (duloxetine). These drugs may affect the working of IBUPROFEN+PARACETAMOL and may alter its efficacy.

If you miss a dose of Bruceta Forte Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Bruceta Forte Tablet is safe for most patients. However, in some patients, it may cause some unwanted side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, heartburn and diarrhea. Inform your doctor if you experience any persistent problem due to this medication.
Q. Can I stop taking Bruceta Forte Tablet when my pain is relieved?
Bruceta Forte Tablet should be continued as advised by your doctor, if you are using the medicine for a condition associated with long-term pain. It can be discontinued if you are using it for short-term pain relief.
Q. Can the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?
Yes, the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Talk to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine or a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicines without speaking to your doctor.
Q. Can the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, do not drive or use any machines. It is better to rest for sometime and resume once you feel better.
Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet?
The use of Bruceta Forte Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components of this medicine. It should be avoided in patients with known allergy to other painkillers (NSAIDs). The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active or recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.
Q. Is Bruceta Forte Tablet helpful in relieving stomach pain?
No, Bruceta Forte Tablet should not be taken for stomach pain without consulting a physician. This drug can increase stomach acid secretion which may aggravate an unknown underlying condition.
Q. Can the use of Bruceta Forte Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of Bruceta Forte Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protect the kidneys from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body, leading to kidney damage because of long-term use. Therefore, the use of painkillers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
Q. Is it safe to take a higher than the recommended dose of Bruceta Forte Tablet ?
No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Bruceta Forte Tablet can increase the risks of side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion and diarrhea. In fact, using this medicine for a long-term can also damage your kidneys on long-term use. If you are experiencing increased severity of pain or if the pain is not relieved by the recommended doses of this medicine, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.
