Butrum 1mg Injection is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever). It works by blocking transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.
Butorphanol is extensively metabolized in the liver. Elimination occurs by urine and fecal excretion. The elimination half-life of butorphanol is about 18 hours. In renally impaired patients with creatinine clearances <30 mL/min the elimination half-life is approximately doubled.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Butrum 1mg Injection may cause drowsiness and dizziness, especially in the beginning of the treatment. Do not drive or work with tools or machinery if your alertness is affected. It is not advisable to drink alcohol during treatment with this medicine as it might increase sleepiness.
