C UDP 10 Tablet may be prescribed alone or along with other medicines. The dose depends on the severity of your condition. You can take it at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day.  Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Do not stop this medicine on your own, even if you feel well because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. This makes it hard to identify any sudden spike and if you stop taking it, your condition may get worse.

Mechanism Of Action

C Udp Tablet works by inhibiting certain receptors on your blood vessels responsible for the constriction of blood vessels. This relaxes and widens the blood vessels and reduces blood pressure.

Pharmacokinets

Cilnidipine presents a very rapid absorption with a maximum peaked concentration after 2 hours. Its distribution tends to be higher in the liver as well as in kidneys, plasma and other tissues. Cilnidipine does not present a high accumulation in the tissue after repeated oral administration.

Contra Indications

Cilnidipine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity (e.g., anaphylaxis or angioedema) to Cilnidipine or any other component of this product. Hypotension, poor cardiac reserve, heart failure. Sudden withdrawal may exacerbate angina.

Indications

Cilnidipine is a novel dihydropyridine calcium antagonist and its calcium antagonistic activity is lasting longer than those of Nifedipine and Nicardipine. Cilnidipine has been used for the treatment of hypertension and hypertensive- associated vascular disorders. Its adult dose is about 40 to 80 mg once daily.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of C UDP 10 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
