Cadicitron 1.4gm/5ml Syrup can be taken with or without food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. Take it regularly and do not stop taking the medicine even if you get better until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop.
Cadicitron 1.4gm/5ml Syrup is a urine alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of urine which makes it less acidic. This helps the kidneys get rid of excess uric acid, thereby preventing gout and certain types of kidney stones.
Disodium hydrogen citrate is metabolized after absorption to sodium bicarbonate. Oxidation is virtually complete, less than 5% of citrate is excreted unchanged in the urine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Disodium Hydrogen Citrate is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment and associated oliguria, azotemia or anuria; untreated Addison's disease; acute dehydration; heat cramps; and severe myocardial damage. In addition, sodium salts are contraindicated in patients on sodium restricted diet.

DISODIUM HYDROGEN CITRATE is a urinary alkaliser indicated for the treatment of renal tubular acidosis, gout and kidney stones. Kidney stones are small, hard deposits made up of calcium, phosphate and other minerals/acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine.
It may increase the blood sodium levels especially when taken with drugs like corticosteroids. Use with caution with diuretics like furosemide since it can cause metabolic disturbances.
Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Cadicitron 1.4gm/5ml Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
