Cadilose Green Granules is a combination of two medicines: Lactitol and Ispaghula, which relieves constipation. They work by different mechanisms to absorb water into the intestine and make the stool soft and easier to pass.
Lactitol is an osmotic laxative - it exerts its pharmacologic effect by creating a hyperosmotic environment within the small intestine. The osmotic effect generated by lactitol draws water into the small intestine, which loosens stools and ultimately facilitates bowel movements,Ispaghula husk contains dietary fibre, which when mixed with water forms a gel-like mass that works as a mild laxative (medicine used to treat constipation). It moves down the digestive system and makes the stools softer by increasing their water content.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
