Cadithro 150mg Tablet should be taken by mouth on an empty stomach. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
Cadithro 150mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.
Roxithromycin is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract producing peak levels (Cmax) within 2 h. The drug is eliminated with a half-life (T1/2) of about 10 h. Roxithromycin is not extensively metabolized. Approximately 53% is excreted in the faeces and about 10% of the dose is eliminated in urine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Cadithro Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Cadithro Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions :
genetic abnormality of metabolism
Diarrhea with blood in stool
Allergy to roxithromycin or any of the other ingredients in roxithromycin tablets or to drugs such as erythromycin, azithromycin or clarithromycin
Cadithro 150mg Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Consuming alcohol with Cadithro 150mg Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Cadithro 150mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Roxithromycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat infections such as infections of the chest, tonsils, skin or genitals. It works by killing or stopping the growth of bacteria (bugs). Like all antibiotics, roxithromycin is not effective against infections caused by viruses.
Roxithromycin has fewer interactions than erythromycin as it has a lower affinity for cytochrome P450. Roxithromycin does not interact with hormonal contraceptives, prednisolone, carbamazepine, ranitidine or antacids.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Cadithro 150mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Cadithro 150mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Take it 1 hour before or two hours after food.

Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Stop taking Cadithro 150mg Tablet and inform your doctor immediately if you develop an itchy rash, swelling of the face, throat or tongue or breathing difficulties while taking it.
