Calinta Kit is best taken in an empty stomach. You should take it regularly at a fixed time each day. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. It may take several days to get the full benefit of this drug. Do not stop taking the medicine until your doctor tells you it is alright to stop. This medicine may only be part of a treatment program that may also include changes to your diet and taking other medicines and vitamin supplements.
Calinta Kit treats low levels of calcium in the blood and osteoporosis. It consists of Calcium, Calcitriol, Zinc, and Ibandronic acid. These medicines help in providing calcium to the body and help in bone formation and maintenance.
Calcium level regulation occurs via several signaling molecules, including parathyroid hormone (PTH), vitamin D, and calcitonin. Calcium is critical for many physiologic functions. Calcium is a major component of the bone matrix and teeth,Calcitriol is rapidly absorbed from the intestine. Peak serum concentrations (above basal values) were reached within 3 to 6 hours following oral administration of single doses of 0.25 to 1.0 mcg of Rocaltrol,Zinc is thought to depend on absorption as well as excretion. Studies have shown that the Zinc ingested by healthy persons are eliminated in the feces (90%) and in urine (2–10%). Zinc is primarily absorbed from small intestine, duodenum and ileum,Ibandronate inhibits osteoclast activity and reduces bone resorption and turnover. In postmenopausal women, it reduces the elevated rate of bone turnover, leading to, on average, a net gain in bone mass.

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Calinta Kit.
Calinta Kit is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Calinta Kit is a combination medicine primarily used to treat osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones). Osteoporosis is a bone disease that makes the bones weak and brittle by decreasing bone density. Symptoms include backache, easily breaking bones, and hunched or stooped posture.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Calinta Kit may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Calinta Kit may interact with the following drugs and products:
Acetaminophen
Amlodipine
Ascorbic acid

Carvedilol

Do not chew, crush or break it. Calinta Kit is to be taken empty stomach.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Calinta Kit, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Consult a doctor before taking any medicines.
Calinta Kit is prescribed for the treatment of osteoporosis.
Drink plenty of water while taking this medicine.
For at least 30 minutes after taking Calinta Kit:
Do not lie down or recline.
Do not take any other medicine including vitamins, calcium, iron, antacids, or laxatives.
Do not eat or drink anything (other than water).
Along with taking Calinta Kit, maintain a healthy lifestyle, take a balanced diet, exercise (regular weight-bearing exercise) with your doctor's advice, and take proper measures to reduce the risk of falls.
Let your doctor know if you’re taking an iron supplement, as the absorption rate might be affected.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, or if you have ever had kidney stones.
