Calmese 2mg Injection may also be used to induce anesthesia before an investigation or a surgical procedure. It relieves anxiety and muscle tension, thus making the person comfortable before the operation or investigation procedure. This medicine is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Calmese 2mg Injection may be given into your vein (intravenously) or into one of your muscles (intramuscularly). The recommended dose depends on your age, weight and why it is being used for you. It is usually used for a short-term only owing to its high habit-forming potential.
Calmese 2mg Injection is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
The clinical pharmacokinetics of lorazepam, a 3-hydroxy, 1,4-benzodiazepine, indicate that it is rapidly and readily absorbed, reaching peak concentrations in the blood proportional to the dose approximately 2 hours after oral administration.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
