It is taken without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
Pantoprazole binds to this proton pump in stomach cells, thus blocking acid secretion. Domperidone increases the motility of the stomach and intestines so that acid does not reflux back into the food pipe.
The absorption of domperidone was very rapid, with mean peak plasma concentration (Cmax) values of 18.8, 15.0, and 20.7 ng/mL attained at 0.9, 1.2, and 0.6 hours after the administration of base tablet, maleate tablet, and solution, respectively. The mean elimination half-life (t1/2) ranged from 12.6 to 16.0 hours,Pantoprazole is extensively metabolized in the liver through the cytochrome P-450 system, predominantly by CYP2C19 demethylation with subsequent sulfation and has a serum elimination half-life of about 1.1 hours. Pantoprazole does not accumulate, and its pharmacokinetics are not altered by multiple daily dosing.

DOMPERIDONE+PANTOPRAZOLE is a widely used medicine to treat peptic ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). DOMPERIDONE+PANTOPRAZOLE prevents the release of stomach acid and relieves symptoms of food pipe lining inflammation (esophagitis), and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or heartburn.
DOMPERIDONE+PANTOPRAZOLE may interact with a blood thinner (clopidogrel, warfarin), antifungal (ketoconazole, voriconazole, itraconazole, posaconazole), anti-HIV drug (atazanavir, nelfinavir), iron supplements, antibiotic (ampicillin, rifampicin), heart medicine (digoxin) and anti-cancer drug (methotrexate). Let your doctor know if you are taking these medicines.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Calmgut 10mg/20mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Calmgut 10mg/20mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Calmgut 10mg/20mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Pantoprazole. It is also used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers. On the other hand, Domperidone helps to control vomiting. If you experience any persistent problem while taking this medication, inform your doctor.

Yes, the use of Calmgut 10mg/20mg Capsule can cause dry mouth. Dryness of mouth occurs due to Domperidone. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips of water during the day and keep some water on your bedside at night. Cut down the intake of alcohol and avoid smoking. If you have a dry mouth, try to use alcohol-free mouthwash as its use can increase the risk of tooth decay.

Yes, the use of Calmgut 10mg/20mg Capsule can cause diarrhea. In case, you experience diarrhea, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. Talk to your doctor if diarrhea persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like less urination with dark colored and strong-smelling urine.
