Calutide-50 Tablet 10's contains Bicalutamide, an anticancer drug used in the treatment of prostate cancer. Calutide-50 Tablet 10's works by inhibiting the effects of androgens (male hormones) such as testosterone that increases the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Pharmacokinets

Bicalutamide is an androgen receptor inhibitor used to treat Stage D2 metastatic carcinoma of the prostate. Bicalutamide is an oral non-steroidal anti-androgen for prostate cancer. It is comprised of a racemic mixture that is a 50:50 composition of the (R)-bicalutamide and (S)-bicalutamide enantionmers.

Calutide-50 Tablet 10's may have interaction with medicine for stomach disorders (cisapride), anti-allergic drugs (astemizole, terfenadine), heart-related drugs (procainamide, amiodarone, sotalol, quinidine), antibiotic (moxifloxacin), opioid painkiller (methadone), blood thinner (warfarin).
