Canazole Mouth Wash should be applied on the site of lesion inside the mouth. Follow the doctor’s instruction or use it in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor. Canazole Mouth Wash works by damaging the cell membrane of fungi like Candida, thereby stopping its growth. It is used for the prevention and treatment of Candidal infections of the oral cavity, esophagus and intestinal tract.

Pharmacokinets

Clotrimazole exerts its action primarily by damaging the permeability barrier in the fungal cytoplasmic membrane. [6] Clotrimazole thereby inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in a concentration-dependent manner by inhibiting the demethylation of 14 alpha lanosterol.

Contra Indications

Indications

Topical clotrimazole is used to treat tinea corporis (ringworm; fungal skin infection that causes a red scaly rash on different parts of the body), tinea cruris (jock itch; fungal infection of the skin in the groin or buttocks), and tinea pedis (athlete's foot; fungal infection of the skin on the feet and between the toes).

Interactions

CLOTRIMAZOLE may cause damage to latex contraceptives. Consequently, the effectiveness of such contraceptives may be reduced. Patients should be advised to use alternative precautions for at least five days after using this product.

Typical Dosage

 Swish for 30 seconds to 1 minute and spit it. Do not swallow. Avoid eating, drinking, or smoking for at least 30 minutes after rinsing.

Take a shower with antifungal soap after gyming or severe sweating.

Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others.

Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin.

Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Inform your doctor if the infection does not clear up even after four weeks of treatment.

If used topically on the nipple area, wash breasts before feeding your child.
