Capcillin Capsule is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.

Mechanism Of Action

It works by preventing the formation of the protective outer layer of the bacteria and kills them. This medication is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses. Campicillin 250 MG Capsule may cause side effects such as diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, skin rash, etc.

Pharmacokinets

The half-life of amoxicillin is 61.3 minutes. Approximately 60% of an orally administered dose of amoxicillin is excreted in the urine within 6 to 8 hours. Detectable serum levels are observed up to 8 hours after an orally administered dose of amoxicillin,Cloxacillin is an antibiotic agent used for the treatment of beta-hemolytic streptococcal and pneumococcal infections as well as staphylococcal infections. A semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic which is a chlorinated derivative of oxacillin.

Contra Indications

AMOXICILLIN+CLOXACILLIN should not be given in the patients who are allergic to cephalosporin or penicillin antibiotics, a newborn baby with jaundice, epilepsy (fits) and mononucleosis (viral infection with fever and sore throat). Breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor before using AMOXICILLIN+CLOXACILLIN.

Capcillin Capsule is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Consuming alcohol with Capcillin Capsule does not cause any harmful side effects.

Interactions

AMOXICILLIN+CLOXACILLIN should not be given with gout medicine (allopurinol), and bacteriostatic drugs which prevent the growth of bacteria (chloramphenicol, erythromycin, and tetracyclines).

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Capcillin Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
