Ethamsylate acts on the first step of hemostasis by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary resistance. Recent studies showed that ethamsylate promotes P-selectin-dependent, platelet adhesive mechanisms.

Do not take ETAMSYLATE if you have a known history of allergy to ETAMSYLATE or any other ingredient present with it. Do not take ETAMSYLATE if you have porphyria, a rare genetic disorder of the blood. ETAMSYLATE is not recommended for use in women who are having a non-cancerous tumour in the uterine (Fibroids).
