You can take Cardace Protect 5 Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor’s advice while taking this medicine.
Cardace Protect 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines that treat high blood pressure and also associated with high cholesterol levels. Lowering blood pressure helps in preventing future heart attacks and strokes.
Ramipril is a prodrug that undergoes de-esterification in the liver to form ramiprilat, its active metabolite. Ramipril rapidly distributes to all tissues, with the liver, kidneys and lungs showing markedly higher concentrations of the drug than the blood,Atorvastatin acid is extensively metabolised in both the gut and liver by oxidation, lactonisation and glucuronidation, and the metabolites are eliminated by biliary secretion and direct secretion from blood to the intestine.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Hypersensitivity to Cardace Protect 5 Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Cardace Protect 5 Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Abnormally low or unstable blood pressure
Active liver disease
Aliskiren
Bilateral renal artery stenosis
Breastfeeding
Concurrent of K sparing diuretics
Dialysis
Hypersensitivity
Lactation
Outflow tract obstruction
Cardace Protect 5 Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Cardace Protect 5 Tablet.
Cardace Protect 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Ramipril+Atorvastatin is used in the treatment of High blood pressure with high cholesterol. Ramipril + Atorvastatin is a combination of two medicines: Ramipril and atorvastatin which treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Cardace Protect 5 Tablet may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Cardace Protect 5 Tablet may interact with the following drugs and products:
Antacids
Aprepitant
Atazanavir
Azole antifungals
Ciprofloxacin
Colchicine
Cyclosporine
Diltiazem
Enoxacin
Fluvoxamine
Do not chew, crush or break it. Cardace Protect 5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Cardace Protect 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Notify your doctor if you experience muscle symptoms (pain or weakness), particularly if you have fever, a sick feeling or dark urine.
Inform you doctor about any dizziness, cough, or throat irritation that doesn't go away.
Do not take Cardace Protect 5 Tablet if you are pregnant or planning for pregnancy.
