Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR should be taken on an empty stomach. It is best taken at the same time every day. Your doctor will decide the dose and the number of times each day you should take them. You should take the medicine as it is prescribed for you and keep taking it, even if you feel well. If you stop taking it suddenly your risk of an angina attack will increase. Lifestyle changes such as diet, exercise, and not smoking may help this drug work better.
Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR is used to prevent chest pain (angina attacks). It works by relaxing and widening blood vessels so blood can flow more easily to the heart. These capsule will not treat an angina attack that has already begun. They may be also used to control heart failure.
The principal pharmacological action of isosorbide dinitrate is relaxation of vascular smooth muscle and consequent dilatation of peripheral arteries and veins, especially the latter.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Consuming alcohol while taking Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heart beat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure (Disulfiram reaction).
Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Isosorbide Dinitrate Titradose tablets are indicated for the prevention of angina pectoris due to coronary artery disease. The onset of action of immediate-release oral isosorbide dinitrate is not sufficiently rapid for this product to be useful in aborting an acute anginal episode.

Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything that requires concentration until you know how it affects you.
Do not consume alcohol while taking Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR as it may cause increased dizziness.
It may cause headaches which usually go away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.
You may develop tolerance to Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.
Stop taking medications (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) like sildenafil or tadalafil while on treatment with Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR as it may cause low blood pressure.

No, you should not take sildenafil along with Cardicap 20mg Capsule TR. Both these medicines lower blood pressure and belong to the same class. Taking these two medicines together may cause significant decrease in blood pressure which can cause fainting or even a heart attack. Along with this, avoid taking other medicines which belong to the same class such as vardenafil and tadalafil.
