Careprost Eye Drop is suitable for adults and children and can be used by itself or in combination with other eye medicines to reduce pressure. Follow the instructions given by your doctor and use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit. If you stop using it, pressure in the eye could increase and damage your sight. Never use a bottle if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Make sure you remove contact lenses if you wear them and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back.
When there is a blockage in the drainage of this liquid, the pressure inside your eye rises, leading to pain and discomfort. Careprost 0.03% Eye Drops 3ml increases the outflow of this fluid from your eye and reduces the eye pressure.
One pharmacokinetic study of bimatoprost in 6 healthy volunteers determined that 67% of the administered dose was found to be excreted in the urine while 25% of the dose was recovered in the feces. The elimination half-life of bimatoprost is approximately 45 minutes.

Conjunctival hyperemia

Careprost Eye Drops 3 ml can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. You may experience eye itching, conjunctival hyperemia (inflammation in the eye), dry eyes, burning eyes, eye pain or irritation, eye tearing, and headaches in some cases.
Careprost Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Careprost Eye Drop is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Careprost Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Careprost Eye Drops 3 ml contains Bimatoprost, which is a prostaglandin analogue. It is primarily used in treating high pressure of the eye. It works by increasing the production of aqueous humor (fluid in the eye) and reducing eye pressure. As the increased pressure can lead to a disease called glaucoma.

Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

If you miss a dose of Careprost Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

Careprost Eye Drop may cause brown pigmentation of the iris. This discoloration may be permanent.
Your eyelashes may become more dense and eyelid skin may darken. These changes should disappear after discontinuing Careprost Eye Drop.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the drop.

Q. What happens if I stop using Careprost Eye Drop?
If you stop using Careprost Eye Drop, the eyelashes may return to their previous appearance after several weeks or months. In case you have developed any eyelid skin darkening, it may reverse after several weeks or months. However, any change in the color of the iris is permanent and will not reverse.
