Carnisure 500 Tablet should be taken with food and it should be chewed thoroughly before swallowing. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not start or stop taking this medicine without a doctor's prescription.
Carnisure 500 Tablet 10's is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that helps your body turn fat into energy. It works by improving the low levels of carnitine in the body. Carnisure 500 Tablet 10's improve symptoms and increase exercise ability in people with heart problems.
L-Carnitine is eliminated from the body mainly via urinary excretion. Under baseline conditions, the renal clearance of L-carnitine (1-3 mL/min) is substantially less than glomerular filtration rate (GFR), indicating extensive (98-99%) tubular reabsorption.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Carnisure 500 Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Carnisure 500 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Carnisure 500 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Parenteral levocarnitine is indicated for the prevention and treatment of carnitine deficiency in patients with end-stage renal disease.
Carnisure 500 Tablet 10's may interact with blood thinners (warfarin, dicumarol). Drug-Food Interaction: No interaction found. Drug-Disease Interaction: Carnisure 500 Tablet 10's should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney, liver disease, diabetes, seizures (fits).

Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Carnisure 500 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Q. Is Carnisure 500 Tablet a steroid?
Carnisure 500 Tablet is not a steroid. It contains Levo-carnitine which is a type of protein (made from the amino acids lysine and methionine). It helps in transporting fats to the cells, where fats get metabolized in order to produce energy. It is used to treat primary and secondary Levo-carnitine deficiency.
Q. When can a carnitine deficiency occur?
Carnitine deficiency may be of two types, primary and secondary. Primary is genetic and may show symptoms by five years of age. Whereas, secondary may occur due to certain disorders like kidney problems (chronic kidney failure) and use of antibiotics that reduces its absorption and increases its excretion.
Q. Does warfarin have any effect on Carnisure 500 Tablet?
In some patients, warfarin when taken along with Carnisure 500 Tablet may increase the time required for the formation of blood clot. Hence, before starting Carnisure 500 Tablet, inform your doctor if you are taking warfarin.
Q. What is the best time to take Carnisure 500 Tablet?
Carnisure 500 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Generally, it is advised to be taken 3-4 times daily, preferably with meals or after meals.
Q. Can Carnisure 500 Tablet be taken by diabetics?
Yes, Carnisure 500 Tablet can be taken by patients with diabetes. However, it is important to know that it contains sucrose. Some studies have shown that it may improve insulin sensitivity. Along with that, it may also be helpful in relieving nerve pain.
Q. Does Carnisure 500 Tablet cause diarrhea?
Carnisure 500 Tablet may very rarely cause diarrhea. This effect of the medicine can be reduced by decreasing the dose of Carnisure 500 Tablet. But, if you are taking oral solution then take it slowly or dilute it more.
