Cartigen 1500 Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. It helps in the formation of cartilage and keeps the joints lubricated for better movement and flexibility. This way it relieves the pain and swelling in the joints.
Glucosamine was rapidly absorbed after oral administration and its pharmacokinetics were linear in the dose range 750-1,500 mg, but not at 3,000 mg, where the plasma concentration-time profiles were less than expected based on dose-proportionality.

Taking glucosamine sulfate and acetaminophen together might reduce the effectiveness of both the supplement and medication. Warfarin (Jantoven). Taking glucosamine alone or in combination with the supplement chondroitin might increase the effects of the anticoagulant warfarin. This can increase your risk of bleeding.

Therefore, patients taking any blood-thinning medicine should consult their doctor before starting this medication.
