Cartiken Plus 50 mg/750 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. It reduces pain and swelling by reducing inflammation. It also reduces friction in the joints and makes physical movements more comfortable and pain free.

Pharmacokinets

The pharmacokinetics characteristics of diacerein are about the same in young healthy volunteers and elderly people with normal renal function, both after a single dose (50 mg) or repeated doses (25 to 75 mg twice daily). Rhein kinetics after single oral doses of diacerein are linear in the range 50 to 200 mg,Glucosamine was rapidly absorbed after oral administration and its pharmacokinetics were linear in the dose range 750-1,500 mg, but not at 3,000 mg, where the plasma concentration-time profiles were less than expected based on dose-proportionality.

Taking DIACEREIN+GLUCOSAMINE may either enhance the cartilage and fluid surrounding joints or prevent both components' breakdown. Both in combination helps in the formation of cartilage (the soft tissue that cushions the joints) and makes the joints lubricated for better movement and flexibility.
