Caspofungin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity (e.g., anaphylaxis) to any component of this product [see Adverse Reactions (6)]. Anaphylaxis has been reported during administration of caspofungin. If this occurs, discontinue caspofungin and administer appropriate treatment.

Q. What does Casfung 70mg Injection target?
Casfung 70mg Injection targets an essential component of the outermost layer (cell wall) of the fungus, called beta-(1,3)-D-glucan. This component is present in the Aspergillus species and Candida species but not present in mammalian cells. Casfung 70mg Injection stops the synthesis of this component and this kills the fungus, inhibits further growth, thereby clearing the infection.
