CASSOTIDE 50MG TABLET works by inhibiting the effects of androgens (male hormones) such as testosterone that increases the growth of prostate cancer cells. CASSOTIDE 50MG TABLET prevents testosterone from binding to androgen receptors on the prostate cancer cells and starves cancer cells of testosterone.

Pharmacokinets

In terms of pharmacokinetics, bicalutamide is well-absorbed when taken by mouth. However, absorption diminishes at higher dosages. It reaches maximal constant levels after 4 to 12 weeks of therapy. Bicalutamide shows extensive plasma protein binding, mainly to albumin.
