Cataclear Eye Drop is a combination of three mineral salts. Altogether, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Chloride, and Calcium Chloride work to improve the eyesight. It is also believed to prevent lenticular opacity (cataract or opacity) and other eye diseases.

Pharmacokinets

It works by shrinking the size of the thyroid gland and decreasing the amount of thyroid hormones produced.In a radiation emergency, potassium iodide blocks only the thyroid from absorbing radioactive iodine, protecting it from damage and reducing the risk of thyroid cancer,As the sodium chloride intravenous preparations are directly administered to the circulation, the bioavailability of the components is 100%. Excess sodium is predominantly excreted by the kidneys, with small amounts lost in faeces and sweat,Calcium Chloride is a mineral indicated in the immediate treatment of hypocalcemic tetany (abnormally low levels of calcium in the body that cause muscle spasm). Calcium chloride injection is also used in cardiac resuscitation, arrhythmias, hypermagnesemia, calcium channel blocker overdose, and beta-blocker overdose.

Typical Dosage

Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.

Effects Of Missed Dosage

If you miss a dose of Cataclear Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose

Cataclear Eye Drop is prescribed for the prevention of cataracts.

Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 3 or 4 hours, or as directed by a physician.

Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.

In order to have healthy eyesight, eat a diet rich in green leafy vegetables, eggs, nuts, beans, fish, and citrus fruits.

Too much UV exposure increases your chances of cataracts. Wearing the right pair of sunglasses will help protect your eyes from harsh sun rays.

Have regular eye checkups at least once a year.
