Always wash your hands before using Catarnil Eye Drop. Use only the number of drops that your doctor has prescribed. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. If you're also using other eye medicines, wait for at least 10 minutes before using it. Read the leaflet that comes with the medicine for a full guide on how to use the drops and get the most benefit. Don't touch the tip of the dropper or bottle. This may lead to infection. You should use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit and it’s best done at the same time(s) each day. If you want to stop using it, consult your doctor first.
Hydrocortisone topical is used to treat redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of various skin conditions. Hydrocortisone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.
Naphazoline stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva. Ophthalmic administration causes vasoconstriction of conjunctival blood vessels thereby decreasing conjunctival congestion.
After IV administration, hydrocortisone was eliminated with a total body clearance of 18 L/hr and a half-life of 1.7 hr. The volume of distribution was 34 L. Oral bioavailability averaged 96%. Absorption was rapid, achieving maximum hydrocortisone levels of 300 ng/mL after 1 hour,Naphazoline stimulates alpha-adrenergic receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva. Hypersensitivity to Catarnil Eye Drops is a contraindication. In addition, Catarnil Eye Drops should not be used if you have the following conditions:

Children below the age of 5 years
Chronic asthma
Coronary artery disease
Epilepsy
Heart failure
Hypertension
Catarnil Eye Drop may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Hydrocortisone+Naphazoline is used in the treatment of allergic eye disease. Hydrocortisone + Naphazoline is a combination of two medicines: naphazoline and chlorpheniramine which treat allergic eye disease. Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine.
If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Catarnil Eye Drops may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. Tell your doctor about all the drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are using, so that you doctor can help you prevent or manage drug interactions. Catarnil Eye Drops may interact with the following drugs and products:
Aminoglutethimide
Amobarbital
Amphotericin B
Ascorbic acid
Aspirin
Atenolol
Carbamazepine
Furosemide
Gentamicin
Ipilimumab
Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Catarnil Eye Drop, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Catarnil Eye Drop provides soothing relief from eye irritation due to allergy.
It should usually be used twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface.
After applying Catarnil Eye Drop, close your eyes, and place one finger at the corner of your eye. Apply gentle pressure for 1 to 2 minutes before opening your eyes. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye.
If you normally wear contact lenses, please wear your spectacles instead until your doctor advises you that it is suitable for you to wear your lenses again.
