Caybutyl 650 mg/65 mg Tablet is used to treat moderate to severe pain in conditions like menstrual cramp, arthritis, headache and muscle aches. It works by reducing substances in the body that causes pain.

Pharmacokinets

Paracetamol is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract with peak plasma concentrations occurring about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion. It is metabolised in the liver (90-95%) and excreted in the urine mainly as the glucuronide and sulphate conjugates. Less than 5% is excreted as unchanged paracetamol,Dextropropoxyphene has been a commonly prescribed analgesic in India. It has been used for management of pain associated with acute as well as chronic conditions. Additionally, it has been used in palliative care. Easy availability of this medication even in the villages has made it a commonly prescribed medicine.

Contra Indications

Contraindications. Dextropropoxyphene is contraindicated in patients allergic to paracetamol (acetaminophen) or dextropropoxyphene, and in alcoholics. It is not intended for use in patients who are prone to suicide, anxiety, panic, or addiction.
