Cbs 0.05% Cream is meant for external use and is to be used only as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry the affected area before applying a thin layer of the medicine. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with plenty of water if you accidentally get it in these areas. Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor.
Cbs 0.05% Cream belongs to a group of medicines called steroids. It is used to treat various skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, and allergies. It works by reducing swelling, redness, and itchiness of the skin and prevents further irritation.
After topical application, clobetasol is distributed throughout the local skin. Any drug absorbed into the circulation is rapidly removed from the blood and distributed into muscle, liver, skin, intestines, and kidneys. Metabolism: After topical administration, drug is metabolized primarily in the skin.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Using the medicine may cause skin thinning, burning sensation, irritation, redness, and swelling at the site of application. These are temporary and usually resolve with time. However, if they persist or worsen, let your doctor know. Cbs 0.05% Cream is not recommended to be used in children.
Cbs 0.05% Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Clobetasol topical is used to treat the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various scalp and skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body) and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes). Clobetasol is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.

If you miss a dose of Cbs 0.05% Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule.

It should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.
Don't use it more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.
Don't cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
If you think the area of skin you are treating has become infected you should stop using Cbs 0.05% Cream and consult your doctor.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after four weeks of treatment. Do not use it for more than 4 consecutive weeks at a time.

Q. Can Cbs 0.05% Cream be used for a long time?
No, Cbs 0.05% Cream should not be used for a long time. The doctor generally prescribes it for 2 consecutive weeks only. However, the treatment can be longer for chronic (long-term) inflammatory conditions. Consult your physician before using this medication.
Q. Does Cbs 0.05% Cream cause severe skin reactions?
Severe skin reactions are quite rare with Cbs 0.05% Cream. Cbs 0.05% Cream is an anti-inflammatory drug which is used to treat skin diseases, skin reactions and eczemas. However, skin reactions can occur in a person who is hypersensitive to Cbs 0.05% Cream. It is important to leave the affected area open after applying Cbs 0.05% Cream as using occlusive dressings (air- and water-tight dressing) can lead to skin reactions. The medicine may not itself cause a reaction but the added excipients with the medications can lead to a reaction in some cases. Inform your doctor immediately in case you encounter any skin reactions.
Q. Can Cbs 0.05% Cream be used on the face?
No, Cbs 0.05% Cream should not be used on the face. In addition to this, Cbs 0.05% Cream should also not be used on the axillae (armpits), groin, and if there is atrophy (wasting away of tissues) at the treatment site. In certain circumstances, it can be exceptionally considered to be used by doctors. It should be used only after consultation with your physician and if possible, the application on the face should be limited to a maximum of 5 days.
Q. Can Cbs 0.05% Cream be applied to children?
Cbs 0.05% Cream is not recommended for use in children less than 1 year of age. It is also not recommended for use in older children and adolescents as the side effects are more common in them. In the pediatric population, there is an increased risk of suppression of the immune system which may make the child prone to other diseases and atrophic changes, hence it is not recommended. Still, in some rare cases, the doctor may recommend this medicine, but the treatment is usually limited to 5 days and the therapy is reviewed weekly.
Q. Can we use Cbs 0.05% Cream in infections?
Cbs 0.05% Cream is not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent. It is a steroid medication. It should not be used in infections as being a corticosteroid, it suppresses the immune system and increases the risk of infections. Bacterial infections are prone to worsen if the infection is covered with a dressing after using Cbs 0.05% Cream. In case the inflammatory lesions get infected or there is any spread of infection, consult your doctor immediately. The doctor will withdraw the use of Cbs 0.05% Cream and provide appropriate antimicrobial therapy.
Q. Can I stop taking Cbs 0.05% Cream when my symptoms are relieved?
No, do not stop taking Cbs 0.05% Cream and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before your treatment is complete. Stopping Cbs 0.05% Cream before your treatment is completed can bring back your symptoms.
