It works by inhibiting the muscle break down and increases the synthesis of muscle proteins and also it improves electrolyte and water absorption in the intestines and increases the body's natural defense mechanism.

Pharmacokinets

Pharmacokinetics N(2)-L-alanyl-L-glutamine is rapidly split into alanine and glutamine after infusion. In man, half-lives of between 2.4 and 3.8 (in terminal renal insufficiency 4.2 min) and a plasma clearance of between 1.6 and 2.7 L/min were determined.

Ceaa-IV Injection is an amino acid that is used to treat nutritional deficiencies. It increases the synthesis of muscle proteins and improves electrolyte and water absorption in the intestine. It also increases the body's natural defense mechanism and helps to treat malnutrition.

Interactions

Medications used to prevent seizures (Anticonvulsants) interacts with GLUTAMINE. Glutamine may increase the risk of seizures in some people. Therefore, taking glutamine may decrease the effects of medications used to prevent seizures.
