Cebay 50mg Tablet is best given an hour before or two hours after meals as that ensures better absorption. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. The dose and duration depend upon the type and severity of the infection, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake, give the same dose again but do not double dose if it's the time for the next dose.
Cefixime is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
Protein binding is 70 per cent. Cefixime is cleared, mainly unchanged, partly by the liver (60 per cent) and partly by the kidneys (40 per cent). The elimination half-life varies between 3 and 4 hours. Plasma concentrations increase linearly but not proportionally to doses.
Cebay 50mg Tablet does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Cebay 50 MG Tablet may be safe to use in pregnancy to treat bacterial infections. Animal studies indicate no risk to the foetus; however, data on human studies are not available. Therefore, use Cebay 50 MG Tablet only upon your doctor's recommendation.
It is not known if Cebay 50 MG Tablet passes into the breastmilk. Hence, if you are breastfeeding consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Cebay 50mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It is commonly given to children to treat a wide range of bacterial infections targeting the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be used in treating uncomplicated typhoid fever in children and adolescents.
Products that may interact with this drug include: "blood thinners" (such as warfarin). This medication may cause false positive results with certain diabetic urine testing products (cupric sulfate-type). This drug may also affect the results of certain lab tests.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Cebay 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.

Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.
