Cefadrox 125mg Tablet DT may be given with or without food. However, if your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with food. The dose and duration of the medicine will depend on the type and severity of the infection. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, give the same dose again but do not double dose if it is almost time for the next dose.

Cefadrox 125mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria.

Pharmacokinetics. Cefadroxil is almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. After doses of 500 mg and 1 g by mouth, peak plasma concentrations of about 16 and 30 micrograms/ml, respectively, are obtained after 1.5 to 2.0 hours.
