Cefadrox Kid 250 Tablet may be taken with or without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. The dose will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete a full course of this antibiotic as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it until you have finished, even when you feel better. If you stop taking it early, some bacteria may survive and the infection may come back. It will not work for viral infections such as flu or the common cold. Using any antibiotic when you do not need it can make it less effective for future infections.
CEFADROX KID 250MG TABLET belongs to the class of cephalosporin antibiotics. It reduces the infection by inhibiting bacterial growth. It kills the bacteria by disrupting the formation of the cell wall. It irreversibly binds to the proteins in the bacteria that are essential for the formation of the cell membrane.
Cefadroxil is almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. After doses of 500 mg and 1 g by mouth, peak plasma concentrations of about 16 and 30 micrograms/ml, respectively, are obtained after 1.5 to 2.0 hours.

It is used to treat bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of pharyngitis (sore throat), tonsillitis (swollen tonsils), bronchopneumonia (lung infection), urinary tract infections (infection of bladder or urethra), and skin and soft tissue infections.
CEFADROX KID 250MG TABLET may interact with other antibiotics (tetracycline, erythromycin, sulfonamides, and chloramphenicol) and hinder its efficacy. CEFADROX KID 250MG TABLET may cause renal toxicity when interacting with aminoglycoside antibiotics (polymyxin B), and high-dose loop diuretics.
Do not chew, crush or break it. Cefadrox Kid 250 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Cefadrox Kid 250 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
