Cefadur CA 250mg Infusion is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or a muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. You should use this medicine regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.
Cefadur Ca 250 MG Infusion works by preventing the formation of bacterial cell walls. This helps in stopping the growth and multiplication of the bacteria, eventually killing them.
The ultimate serum half-life was 1.1 h. Excretion of cefuroxime in the urine was almost complete in 24 h, the clearance being 150 ml/min/1.73m2. About 45% was excreted through the renal tubules. The injections were well tolerated and no changes in haematological or biochemical values were seen.

The effectiveness of two daily dose of Cefadur CA 250mg Infusion is same as three daily doses of amoxicillin.
