Cefal O 30mg Syrup should be given under the supervision of a doctor or health professional. Use it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Using it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. Cefixime is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
Protein binding is 70 per cent. Cefixime is cleared, mainly unchanged, partly by the liver (60 per cent) and partly by the kidneys (40 per cent). The elimination half-life varies between 3 and 4 hours. Plasma concentrations increase linearly but not proportionally to doses.

Products that may interact with this drug include: "blood thinners" (such as warfarin). This medication may cause false positive results with certain diabetic urine testing products (cupric sulfate-type). This drug may also affect the results of certain lab tests.
