Cefiped 100mg/60Million spores Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.
Cefixime kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the bacteria's outer layer (cell wall). In turn, CEFIXIME+LACTOBACILLUS SPOROGENES weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotics that helps in fighting various types of bacteria.
Protein binding is 70 per cent. Cefixime is cleared, mainly unchanged, partly by the liver (60 per cent) and partly by the kidneys (40 per cent). The elimination half-life varies between 3 and 4 hours. Plasma concentrations increase linearly but not proportionally to doses,Lactobacillus, (genus Lactobacillus), any of a group of rod-shaped, gram-positive, non-spore-forming bacteria of the family Lactobacillaceae. Similar to other genera in the family, Lactobacillus are characterized by their ability to produce lactic acid as a by-product of glucose metabolism.
