Ceflora Tablet DT is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. It can be taken with or without food, but it must be taken at a fixed time to ensure better efficacy. Do not consume more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. The course of the treatment must be completed even if you feel better. Sudden discontinuation of the treatment may affect the potency of the medicine.
CEFIXIME+LACTOBACILLUS contains Cefixime and Lactobacillus. Cefixime is an antibiotic that works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) that is necessary for their survival. Thereby, damages the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria.
Lactobacilli belong to the lactic acid bacteria and comprise the major part of this group. As their name implies, they produce lactic acid and derive energy from the fermentation of lactose, glucose and other sugars to lactate via homofermentative metabolism.
Protein binding is 70 per cent. Cefixime is cleared, mainly unchanged, partly by the liver (60 per cent) and partly by the kidneys (40 per cent). The elimination half-life varies between 3 and 4 hours. Plasma concentrations increase linearly but not proportionally to doses.

Drug-Drug Interaction: CEFIXIME+LACTOBACILLUS may interact with drugs used to blood thinner (warfarin), water tablet (furosemide), steroids (dexamethasone, methylprednisolone, prednisone), immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, ciclosporin). Drug- Food Interaction: No interactions found.
Ceflora Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you miss a dose of Ceflora Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.
Q. Can I stop taking Ceflora Tablet DT when I feel better?
No, do not stop taking Ceflora Tablet DT and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.
