Give Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension to your child orally, preferably at a fixed time, either before or after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. The dose and duration depend upon the type and severity of the infection, your child’s age, and body weight, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of intake, repeat the same dose but do not double dose if it's time for the next dose.
Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension is a combination of two different antibiotics that work together, in different ways, to treat various bacterial infections. Cefixime works by stopping the growth of bacteria and kills them.

Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension does not pose serious side effects and is well-tolerated by children. In case the side effects do occur, they’re likely to subside once the body adapts to the medicine. Consult your child’s doctor if these side effects persist or bother your child. Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that treats bacterial infections that may affect your child's eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, skin, bone and joints, gastrointestinal tract, and urinary tract. It can also be used in treating typhoid fever in children and adolescents.
Cefo Plus Dry Syrup is used in treating bacterial infections. You can give this medicine with or without food as prescribed by your paediatrician.
Dissolve the required amount of Cefo Plus Dry Syrup in a glass of water. Make sure that your child takes the necessary volume of Cefo Plus Dry Syrup.
Make sure that you should complete the entire course of this medicine even if the symptoms disappear after few days. If you discontinue using this medicine for your child, there is a chance that the infection may recur.
The reconstituted suspension may be stored under refrigeration (2 to 8 degrees Celsius) for a duration of 14 days. Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
Do not use it after the expiry date. Ensure that unused medicine is disposed of properly. Do not recommend this medicine to other parents even if their child's condition appears to be the same.

Unless your child’s doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for the next dose. Do not give the double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.

Your child must complete the entire course of antibiotics. Stopping too soon may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection.
Give this medicine with food to avoid an upset stomach.
Encourage your child to drink plenty of water in case diarrhea develops as a side effect.
Do not give any calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin, or antacid within 2 hours of taking Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension as these can affect the absorption of the medicine.
Conditions like common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions.
Only give Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension to your child for their current infection. Never save medicine for future illnesses.
Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child’s doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension is to be taken with food.

An extra dose of Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension is unlikely to do harm. However, you must still be vigilant because overdoses may cause unwanted side effects and may even worsen your child’s condition. If you think you have given too much of Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension to your child, speak to a doctor immediately.

Q. Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension?
Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they recover from the illness. As soon as your child feels better, the vaccine can be given.

Children often have a sensitive stomach and develop a stomach upset while taking antibiotics. Resistant bacteria are no longer killed by the antibiotics and may lead to reinfection.

Inform the doctor if your child is suffering from heart disease, genetic disorders involving blood vessels, seizures, psychiatric disorders, diabetes, photoallergy (allergy from sunlight), neuromuscular disorders, or rheumatoid arthritis. This is because there is a possibility that Cefo Plus 50 mg/50 mg Suspension may aggravate these conditions and result in complications.
