Cefree CV 200 mg/125 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine. It is advised to take it as per the prescription. Cefpodoxime is a cephalosporin anti-bitoic, It is a broad spectrum anti-biotic and is used in the treatment of various bacterial infections especially respiratory tract infections, skin infections and urinary tract infections
The half-life of cefpodoxime ranges from 1.9 to 2.8 hours. The absolute bio-availability of cefpodoxime proxetil tablets is 50%, and absorption is enhanced by concomitant administration of food. Raising gastric pH by pretreatment with antacids or H2-receptor antagonists results in reduced absorption
Clavulanic acid along with amoxicillin is well absorbed from stomach after oral administration without having any impact of fasting and fed state on the pharmacokinetics of amoxicillin. While relative bioavailability of clavulanic acid becomes reduced when administered after 30 and 150 min of high fat breakfast
