Cyclopentolate blocks the action of acetylcholine to produce relaxation of the sphincter muscle of the iris resulting in dilation of the pupil (mydriasis). This agent has an anticholinergic effect similar to atropine
Cyclopentolate is administered as a topical ophthalmic solution. Cyclopentolate has a rapid onset of action producing the maximum mydriatic and cycloplegic effects within 15—60 minutes following topical application to the eye. The duration of both effects is normally 24 hours

Cepenta Eye Drop is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Cepenta Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.

Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
Store below 30°C
If you miss a dose of Cepenta Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Cepenta Eye Drop enlarges the pupil for eye examination and is commonly used in adults.
It also reduces inflammation (redness and swelling) after cataract surgery.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
