Cerecetam 200mg Infusion is administered as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional and should not be self-administered. It is given in cases where oral administration is not possible. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
Piracetam improves the function of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine via muscarinic cholinergic (ACh) receptors, which are implicated in memory processes. Furthermore, piracetam may have an effect on NMDA glutamate receptors, which are involved with learning and memory processes
Piracetam is predominantly excreted via renal elimination, where about 80-100% of the total dose is recovered in the urine. Approximately 90% of the dose of piracetam is excreted in the urine as unchanged drug 4. The plasma half life of piracetam is approximately 5 hours following oral or intravenous administration

Piracetam is contra-indicated in patients with severe renal impairment (renal creatinine clearance of less than 20 ml per minute). It is also contraindicated in patients with cerebral haemorrhage and in patients suffering from Huntington's Chorea
