Give Cerzin L 2.5mg/5ml Syrup to your child by mouth with or without food in the dose and way prescribed by the doctor. It may be prescribed alone or in combination with other medicines. The allergic symptoms may subside after your child has taken the initial few doses of Cerzin L 2.5mg/5ml Syrup. In case of serious allergic conditions, your child may have to continue taking the medicine for a week or two. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, let the child calm down and give the same dose again. However, do not repeat the dose if it is already time for the next dose.

Levocetirizine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, and sneezing. It is also used to relieve itching and hives. It works by blocking a certain natural substance (histamine) that your body makes during an allergic reaction

Levocetirizine exhibited linear pharmacokinetics over the therapeutic dose range in adult healthy subjects. Levocetirizine is rapidly and extensively absorbed following oral administration. In adults, peak plasma concentrations are achieved 0.9 hour after administration of the oral tablet

You should avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while on treatment with Cerzin L 2.5 MG Syrup because it may increase the risk of dizziness, drowsiness and difficulty concentrating.


Breast Feeding Related Information

Cerzin L 2.5 MG Syrup can pass into breast milk. Hence, you should only use this medication if your doctor recommends it. Prolonged use or treatment with a higher dose may cause drowsiness and other side effects in your baby, as well as a reduction in milk supply.

Levocetirizine is indicated to treat symptoms of perennial allergic rhinitis and uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria. It is also used over the counter for a variety of mild allergy symptoms

Interactions

Take Cerzin L 2.5 MG Syrup with or without food preferably in the evening.

Never take more than the prescribed dose.

Do not give your medicine to other people even if their condition appears to be the same as yours.

Stop taking Cerzin L 2.5 MG Syrup at least three days before an allergy test, because it may affect the findings
